Minister To Lam sends letter of condolence to family of dead policeman

PSNews - General To Lam, Minister of Public Security, on August 4 sent a letter of condolence to the family of Thao Van Sua, Head of the Police Post of Nhi Son commune, Muong Lat district. Earlier, officer Thao Van Sua died while performing his duty.

According to the Thanh Hoa Provincial Police Department, Thao Van Sua was buried by a landslide on the night of August 3 when he was checking and urging local residents to move away from disaster-prone residential places. His body was found the next day.

In his letter, Minister To Lam expressed his deep condolences to the family of Thao Van Sua and praised officer Sua for his high sense of responsibility, underlining that officer Sua demonstrated the quality of the typical police officer who is ready to sacrifice himself for happiness and a peaceful life of the people.

Minister Lam asked the Department for the Movement “All people protecting national security” to coordinate with the Department of Personnel and Organization, and the Thanh Hoa Provincial Police Department to visit, encourage and support Sua’s family, as well as to cooperate with the local authorities and his family to hold Sua’s funeral.

Meanwhile, the Minister of Public Security asked the Thanh Hoa Provincial Police Department to deploy sufficient forces and means to key areas and take appropriate measures to ensure safety for the people living in areas negatively affected by floods.  

Minister of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs Dao Ngoc Dung on August 5 said that his Ministry had discussed with the Ministry of Public Security, and agreed to propose Thanh Hoa provincial authorities and relevant agencies to complete the procedure to submit to the Government for consideration and recognition of martyr for Thao Van Sua.
