The Ministry of Public Security held a conference reviewing the investigation police’s task performance in the first 6 months of 2023, on the morning of July 25, in Hanoi. Minister of Public Security General To Lam attended and delivered a keynote speech.

Making the opening speech, Deputy Minister Nguyen Duy Ngoc emphasized that the investigation police force has successfully taken both social and professional preventive measures over the past time.

Particularly, the force advised the Secretariat of the Party Central Committee to direct all relevant agencies to seriously implement Document No. 13 on further executing Directive No. 48 on strengthening the Party's leadership in crime prevention and control and Directive No. 36 on improving the quality and efficiency of the struggle against illicit drug trafficking.

Under the direction of Deputy Minister of Public Security Nguyen Van Long, delegates focused on analyzing and clarifying shortcomings, difficulties in criminal investigation in the past time, and proposed solutions to the issues.

Addressing the conference, Minister To Lam stated that criminal investigation is a very important work of the People's Public Security Forces that needs to be regularly reviewed, evaluated and oriented. 

The minister said that the conference should be seen as a milestone of the investigation police agencies at all levels in the process of building the criminal investigation agency as a well-organized, strong and elite body in the police force able to meet all task requirements in the current situation.

Agreeing with the criminal investigation police force’s tasks and working solutions discussed in the general report, Minister To Lam emphasized the need to focus on the directions of the Ministry of Public Security on the organizational structure of a criminal investigating agency to ensure its efficient and effective operation.
