According to reports delivered by the hospital’s leaders at the meeting with Minister To Lam, over the past time, the Public Security Traditional Medicine Hospital has well carried out health examination and treatment for both inpatients and outpatients while applying new medical techniques to effectively treat many diseases.

Additionally, the hospital has researched and produced efficient medical devices and medicines as well as protected the health of senior officials of the Party, the State, and the Ministry of Public Security.

Joining national effort in the COVID-19 fight, the Traditional Medicine Hospital sent its medical workers to epicenters to support local forces in preventing and controlling the pandemic. It also actively made and provided medical equipment for localities to fight the COVID-19.

Speaking at the meeting, Minister To Lam acknowledged the effort of and praised the Hospital of Traditional Medicine for its achievements over the past time.

The Minister assigned a number of tasks to the hospital in the coming time, saying that it should pay due attention to improving the quality and efficiency of medical examination and treatment by scientifically combining traditional medicine with modern medicine.

He also asked the hospital to promote scientific research and training for its staff, to quickly access and effectively apply modern medical advances into medical treatment at the hospital.

The hospital should also conduct more social and charitable activities, such as providing natural disaster relief, offering free health checkups and medicines to poor patients, contributing to strengthening the close relations between the Public Security Forces and the people, and beautify the image of the Public Security Forces, including the public security health sector, in the people’s eyes, Minister To Lam added.

In terms of COVID-19 prevention and control, the Minister requested the Traditional Medicine Hospital to regularly review and revise the disease prevention and control plan according to the situation while proactively mobilizing medical workers to support pandemic-hit localities upon request.
