Minister To Lam visits Tay Ninh

PSNews - General To Lam, Minister of Public Security, on May 7 led a high-ranking delegation to work with the Tay Ninh Provincial Party Committee.

At the working session, Mr. Pham Viet Thanh, Secretary of the Tay Ninh Provincial Party Committee, briefed the Public Security Minister and other delegates on the province’s situations of socio-economic development, security and order. According to him, the socio-economy of the province develops in a stable and positive manner. 

Tay Ninh now ranked 14th among the 63 provinces and cities nationwide in terms of socio-economic development. As it has a long borderline with Cambodia and is home to various religious and ethnic minorities groups, the province faces a number of big issues related to public order and security.

After listening to the report, General To Lam highly appreciated the outcomes of Tay Ninh’s socio-economic development, political security, social order and safety, investment volume and infrastructure development. 

In the current complex international security context with negative impacts on the country’s national security as well as public order and safety, Minister To Lam suggested the Provincial Party Committee should give timely and sound instructions to the provincial police force so that the local police can ensure public security and order, and build a regular, clean and strong police force.

On the same day, Minister To Lam and the delegation also worked with the Tay Ninh Provincial Police Department.

At the working session, Senior Colonel Nguyen Van Trai, Director of the Provincial Police Department, briefed Minister Lam and the delegation on the task performance and working results of the provincial police.

Minister To Lam asked the local police to focus on building a clean and strong police force as well as deploying full time police officers to communal police posts. He also asked the Provincial Police to take all measures to ensure local security and order, to facilitate local socio-economic development and domestic and foreign investment in the locality.
