It was part of the “Gratitude-returning” program launched by the Public Security Central Party Committee and the Ministry of Public Security.
Over the past month, leaders of the Ministry of Public Security, as well as their subordinate agencies and units nationwide have carried out many meaningful social activities towards families with meritorious service to the nation.
Particularly, many public security delegations visited and offered gifts to the Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, wounded and sick soldier nursing facilities, policy families as well as burned incense at martyrs’ cemetries.
Speaking at the meeting with the center’s staff and patients, Minister To Lam expressed admiration and pride for the sacrifices and contributions of wounded and sick servicemen to the struggle for national independence.
He also shared empathy with the patients’ physical and mental sufferings, and wished that they would recover their health and continue promoting the good tradition of the Vietnamese wounded soldier -- "disabled but still useful".
Minister To Lam stated that the veterans are examples of courage and sacrifice, and serve as a source of motivation for the center's staff to work and implement the support policies of our Party and State towards people with meritorious service toward the nation.
