Visiting Colonel Vu Van Duong, Deputy Head of Division 3, Narcotics Investigation Police Department, Minister To Lam encouraged him and his family, and once again spoke highly of Colonel Vu Van Duong's contributions to enriching the glorious tradition of the People's Public Security Forces and beautifying the image of the police officer, who is always ready to sacrifice himself for the country and the people.

Colonel Vu Van Duong was seriously injured while pursuing a particularly dangerous wanted person Ly A Di, residing in Ca Hau village, Na U commune, Dien Bien district. He has spent 2 years in treatment to be able to walk normally.

Next, Minister To Lam and his entourage visited and presented gifts to the family of fallen police officer Pham Cong Huy.

The police officer died while handling the security issue in Dong Tam commune, My Duc district, Hanoi.

For his bravery and sacrifice in protecting the law and order as well as a peaceful life of the people, Captain Pham Cong Huy was posthumously awarded the First Class Victory Medal and Certificate “Recognition by the Fatherland”.

Talking with the families of wounded and fallen public security officers, Minister To Lam affirmed that the Party, State, people and Public Security Forces are always grateful for the great sacrifices and contributions of the heroic martyrs and wounded soldiers to the cause of national construction and defense. 

He said, they serve as a shining example for generations of public security officers and soldiers to study and follow.
