Minister To Lam works with Can Tho Police

PSNews – Minister of Public Security To Lam visited and worked with the Municipal Police Department and Fire Police of Can Tho on Oct 13.

Since the beginning of 2017, Can Tho has overcome various difficulties, and managed to have attained achievements in socio-economic and cultural development. The above mentioned achievements of the city have been contributed significantly by the local police forces.

The local police forces of Can Tho also proactively advised local authorities at all levels on issuing various directions on the maintenance of security and order as well as fire prevention measures; deployed plans to protect key structures and important political events held in the city; and mobilized the whole political system and people to join the maintenance of security and order, and fire prevention and fighting.

The prevention and control of criminal activities and social evils also has achieved good results. The local police have curbed violations of the Criminal Code and wiped out all major criminal gangs.

Minister To Lam appreciated and applauded the achievements of the Can Tho Municipal Department and the Municipal Fire Police of Can Tho in the past time. He also expressed his thanks to the authorities of Can Tho for their good care and support for the local police forces in the past years, hoping that the forces would receive further support and coordination from the authorities and people in the time to come.

The Minister also expressed his belief that the local police forces of Can Tho would overcome all difficulties and obtain more achievements in the future, deserving the trust and expectation of the authorities and people of Can Tho.
