At the meeting, Lieutenant General Mai Van Ha, Director of the DIC, said that all press and media agencies under the Ministry of Public Security (MPS) have fully covered the 7th Public Security Party Congress for the 2020-2025 term as well as congresses of Party Committees of all public security agencies and units.

They have also published reports fighting against wrongful and distorted information spread on social networks by hostile forces with the aim of causing social troubles during the Party’s National Congress. The Public Security press and media agencies also covered fully activities of the police forces in natural disaster responses and relief, particularly during the recent record flood in central provinces.

Minister To Lam applauded the efforts and achievements gained by the DIC over the past time. The minister asked them to further reflect the police force’s efforts in supporting people in flood-hit areas as well as good examples of the force, who sacrificed themselves in protecting the people.

Minister To Lam emphasized that the Public Security press and media agencies have served as a bridge connecting the people and the Public Security Forces over the past time.

Regarding the DIC’s missions in the coming time, the minister asked its leadership to pay more attention to Party and force building work, cement internal unity and successfully fulfil all given tasks, and promote the position of the Public Security press media sector as a leading trademark in the Vietnamese revolutionary press and media.
