Ministry of Public Security embraces relations with Cambodia

PSNews- Vietnam treasures fine relations with Cambodia, Deputy Minister of Public Security Le Quy Vuong said at the reception of Mr. Pao Ham Phan, State Secretary of the Interior Ministry of the Kingdom of Cambodia and a high-level Cambodian delegation on December 13 in Hanoi.

The Vietnamese Deputy Minister welcomed Mr. Pao Ham Phan and the high-ranking delegation, stressing that Vietnam always attaches importance to maintaining and promoting the bilateral relationship and cooperation with Cambodia, including ties between the MPS of Vietnam and relevant agencies of Cambodia.

Friendship and cooperation between Vietnam and Cambodia have continuously been consolidated and strengthened in terms of politics, economics and culture over the past years, contributing to the stable and sustainable development of each country and the region. At the same time, cooperation between the MPS of Vietnam and the Ministry of Interior of Cambodia has developed in terms of both width and depth.

Particularly, relevant agencies of the two countries have maintained close cooperation, ensuring social safety and stability, and creating a favorable condition for investment, tourism as well as a peaceful and safe life for people of the two nations.

Regarding cooperation on crime control, Deputy Minister Vuong emphasized that relevant agencies under the MPS and the Ministry of Interior of Cambodia have well coordinated in preventing and suppressing all attempts and plots of hostile forces to sabotage solidarity and friendship. They have also joined hands in fighting crime, especially drug-related crime, hi-tech and human trafficking crime, contributing to bettering security and social order in each country.

He hoped that Mr. Pao Ham Phan, on his new position, will continue to make contribution to promoting the Vietnam-Cambodia relationship in general and the relations between the two police forces toward practical outcomes.

Mr. Pao Ham Phan thanked the Vietnamese Deputy Minister for the warm reception, affirming that the Ministry of Interior of Cambodia would strive to cultivate bilateral ties between the two countries. He also expressed his belief that the fine relations between the two countries in general and between the police forces will be further expanded in the future.
