Ministry of Public Security holds a meeting with retired senior officers in Southwest

PSNews - The Public Security Party Central Committee and the Ministry of Public Security held a meeting on the afternoon of August 10 in Can Tho City with retired senior public security officers now residing in the provinces and cities in the Southwest region.

Politburo member, Secretary of the Public Security Central Party Committee and Minister of Public Security General To Lam chaired the meeting.

The event marked the 77th anniversary of the August Revolution, the National Day of September 2 as well as the 77th founding anniversary of the People's Public Security Forces (August 19, 1945) and the 17th “All People's Protecting National Security” Festival (August 19, 2005).

The meeting was attended by former Politburo member, former Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung; former Politburo member, former standing member of the Party Central Committee’s Secretariat and former Minister of Public Security General Le Hong Anh, as well as veterans, holders of the titles “Hero of the People's Armed Forces” and “Hero of Labor”, and high-ranking retired public security officers now living in Can Tho City and 12 provinces in the Southwest region.

In a warm and joyful atmosphere of the meeting, Minister To Lam expressed gratitude and wished all delegates good health.

Minister To Lam informed the delegates of outstanding work results of the Public Security Forces, and affirmed that the People's Public Security Forces always appreciate and are grateful for the great contributions of their father’s and grandfather’s generations to the cause of national security protection, social order and safety, and construction of the force.

On behalf of the Central Public Security Party Committee and the Ministry of Public Security, Minister To Lam hope that he and leaders of the Ministry of Public Security will continue to receive valuable opinions from senior retired public security comrades to build truly clean and strong regular, elite, modern Public Security Forces, which are able to successfully fulfill all the tasks assigned by the Party, State and People, and deserve to be the "sacred sword" and the armed forces absolutely loyal to the Party, State and People.
