As soon as the first working day of the 79th National Public Security Conference ended, the Ministry of Public Security held a press conference, on the afternoon of December 27, releasing the results of the Public Security Forces’ task performance in 2023.

Speaking at the press conference, Deputy Minister Tran Quoc To said that the People's Public Security Forces had overcome all difficulties and challenges, always heightened a high sense of responsibility, always been proactive and creative at work, thoroughly grasped the situation, successfully completed the general work plan, and achieved the set objectives, contributing to maintaining the strategic initiative, creating a stable, peaceful and secure environment for socio-economic development and foreign affairs.

Therefore, the deputy minister considered the year of 2023 as a "very difficult but proud" year for the Public Security Forces.

He took the chance to thank Central agencies, ministries, sectors, localities and people for their great support and encouragement for the Public Security Forces over the past year.

He specially underscored the support of the media and press agencies for the People's Public Security Forces, saying that press and media publications promptly and precisely reflected the forces’ work and achievements in protecting national security, ensuring order and safety.

On behalf of the Public Security Central Party Committee and leaders of the Ministry of Public Security, Deputy Minister Tran Quoc To thanked the media and press and wished that press and media agencies inside and outside the Public Security Forces would continue accompany the Public Security Forces in performing their tasks, contributing to building truly pure, strong, regular, elite and modern People's Public Security Forces, deserving the trust of the Party, State and people.

At the press conference, in the spirit of openness, journalists from press and media agencies raised a number of questions on issues of public concern, and senior oficers from the Ministry of Public Security clearly gave explainations and answered their queries.
