In the joyful atmosphere of the whole Party, people and armed forces celebrating the 133rd birthday of President Ho Chi Minh, the Public Security Central Party Committee and the Ministry of Public Security held a webinar on the morning of May 18, 2023, in Hanoi to review the 2-year implementation of Resolution No. 01 issued on May 18, 2021 by the Politburo and the 5-year implementation of Directive No. 04 issued on May 19, 2018 by the Ministry of Public Security.

Secretary of the Central Public Security Party Committee and Minister of Public Security General To Lam attended the conference, which was held online connecting delegates from the Hall of the Ministry of Public Security to the police departments of the provinces and centrally-run cities.

Speaking at the opening of the conference, Deputy Minister Tran Quoc To emphasized that the conference aimed to evaluate the results and achievements in implementing the directives, point out shortcomings and limitations in the implementation of Resolution No. 01 of the Politburo and Directive No. 04 of the Ministry of Public Security.

The conference also honored units and officers with outstanding achievements in studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style and implementing Uncle Ho’s six teachings to the People's Public Security Forces.

Minister To Lam awards the “Victory” Order of Merit and the “Fatherland Protection” Order to units and officers for their outstanding achievements.

Delivering the summary report at the conference, Director of the Department of Party and Political Work Lieutenant General Nguyen Ngoc Toan stated that, after 2 years of implementing Resolution No. 01 of the Politburo and 5 years of implementing Directive No. 04 of the Ministry of Public Security, Party committees and leaders of public security agencies and units at all levels understood more about the meaning, importance and necessity of studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology and morality, style and implementing Uncle Ho’s teachings, contributing to building the Party and the People's Public Security Forces.

At the conference, under the direction of Deputy Minister Tran Quoc To, delegates focused on discussing the results achieved in the implementation of Resolution No. 01 of the Politburo and Directive No. 04 of the Ministry of Public Security.

Delegates also shared good experiences and creative ways in implementing the two documents, and proposed measures to better the implementation in the coming time.

Speaking at the conference, Minister To Lam suggested that Party committees and leaders of public security agencies and units at all levels continue to organize political activities regarding the movement “Studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style” and the implementation of Uncle Ho’s six teachings.

Public security agencies and units should research and concretize Uncle Ho’s six teachings into specific ethical standards to evaluate each Party member, cadre and soldier of the Public Security Forces while paying attention to rewarding and honoring typical groups and individuals in studying, implementing Uncle Ho’s teachings as well as in the movement “Studying and following Ho Chi Minh's thought, morality and style.”

Minister To Lam also requested that all public security agencies and units focus on effectively implementing component projects of Resolution No. 12 of the Politburo and Resolution No. 16 of the Public Security Central Party Committee on strengthening political and ideological work, meeting the requirements of building truly clean, strong, regular, elite and modern People's Public Security Forces.
