Ministry of Public Security, Ministry Natural Resources and Environment sign cooperation deal

The Ministry of Public Security and the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment held a ceremony to sign a work program according to which the two ministries will strengthen coordination in managing natural resources and environment for the period 2022 – 2026, on the afternoon of December 29, 2022, in Hanoi.

Minister of Public Security General To Lam and Minister of Natural Resources and Environment Tran Hong Ha co-chaired the signing event.

Over the past years, the Ministry of Public Security and the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment have coordinated in advising the Party and State to issue various important legal documents related to the management of natural resources and environment, and these documents have directly been related to the political tasks of the People's Public Security Forces.

Especially in 2022, the two ministries have closely and effectively coordinated in implementing the Government's Project 06 on enhancing the application of population, electronic identification and electronic authentication data in national digital transformation for the period of 2022 - 2025, with a vision to 2030, and the close coordination between the two sides allowed the two ministries to connect the National Land Database and the National Population Database.

The connection of the two networks is very important in the implementation of national digital transformation as it creates favorable conditions for the two ministries to save time and costs for people and businesses in carrying out administrative procedures related to land and housing.

Speaking at the ceremony, Minister To Lam affirmed that the signing of the coordination program between the Ministry of Public Security and the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment serves as an important basis for functional agencies of the two ministries at all levels to coordinate comprehensively and more effectively in ensuring security and order and managing natural resources and environment.

Minister To Lam emphasized, right after the signing ceremony of the cooperation program, the leaders of the Ministry of Public Security will direct all public security agencies and units to effectively implement its contents, and the Ministry of Public Security and the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment will periodically review the results of implementing the coordination program.

At the ceremony, Minister Tran Hong Ha sincerely thanked the Ministry of Public Security for close coordination with the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment in the implementation of Project 06 in the past time, as well as in the fight against violations of the law on environment.

Minister Tran Hong Ha believes that, with the existing cooperation platforms, the two ministries will continue their cooperation in renewable energy, digital resources, and disaster response, climate change and environmental protection.
