Ministry of Public Security, Ministry of Health sign coordination regulations

The Ministry of Public Security and the Ministry of Health organized a meeting to review the 10-year implementation of Coordination Regulation No. 03/QC-BCA-BYT dated September 26th, 2013 between the two ministries and extend the coordination agreement for the next period, on the afternoon of November 18th, in Hanoi.

Member of the Politburo and Minister of Public Security General Luong Tam Quang and Member of the Party Central Committee and Minister of Health Dao Hong Lan co-chaired the meeting.

Over the past 10 years, the Ministry of Public Security and the Ministry of Health effectively implemented Coordination Regulation No. 03 and obtained various remarkable results in terms of ensuring security and order in the health sector.

Accordingly, subordinate units and agencies under the two ministries regularly exchanged information about security and order in the health sector, especially the order and security situation at medical centers and facilities, and violations of the laws in the fields under the state management of the Ministry of Health.

In addition, the work of protecting internal political security and state secrets in the health sector has been improved, contributing to stabilizing the internal situation of health units and agencies from central to local levels.

Furthermore, the two ministries also closely coordinated to ensure security, safety, and health care for Party and State leaders.

The Ministry of Public Security also deployed forces to protect the health sector’s conferences, seminars and other important political events, while the Ministry of Health supported the Ministry of Public Security in training public security medics.

Speaking at the meeting, Minister of Health Dao Hong Lan affirmed that under the sound leadership of the Party and State, the Ministry of Public Security and the Ministry of Health effectively coordinated to address urgent issues, such as epidemics, wrongdoings in pharmaceutical management and hospital security.

On behalf of the Public Security Party Central Committee and leaders of the Ministry of Public Security, Minister Luong Tam Quang applauded the positive results in the coordination between the two ministries over the past years.

Regarding coordination orientations for the coming time, Minister Luong Tam Quang proposed that all subordinate units and agencies of the two ministries should closely follow the coordination agreement between the two ministries to effectively implement their assigned tasks on the basis of ensuring the highest common benefits, while advising their higher-level authorities on specific approaches to deepen the coordination relationship between the two ministries in a practical and effective manner, for the cause of protecting people’s health.

At the meeting, Minister of Public Security Luong Tam Quang and Minister of Health Dao Hong Lan signed a new coordination deal between the two ministries for the next period.
