Ministry of Public Security works with NA deputies working at the ministry

The Ministry of Public Security had a meeting with National Assembly (NA) deputies working with the People's Public Security, on the afternoon of May 22, 2023. Deputy Secretary of the Central Public Security Party Committee and Deputy Minister of Public Security Senior Lieutenant General Tran Quoc To chaired the meeting.

Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Minister Tran Quoc To said that, according to the agenda for the 5th sitting of the 15th National Assembly, four bills drafted by the Ministry of Public Security, including two law projects, namely the Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Public Security Forces, and Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on exit and entry of Vietnamese citizens and the Law on entry, exit, transit and residence of foreigners in Vietnam.

Meanwhile, the two other bills, namely the Law on Citizenship Identity (amended) and the Law on forces participating in the protection of security and order at the grassroots level, will only be considered at the fifth NA sitting and is expected to be approved by NA deputies at the NA 6th sitting.

At the meeting, Chairman of the National Assembly's Committee for National Defense and Security Le Tan Toi and delegates gave opinions the four bills drafted by the Ministry of Public Security.

Concluding the meeting, Deputy Minister Tran Quoc To thanked delegates for their constructive opinions and expressed hope that the NA deputies working with the People's Public Security Forces will support the four law projects.
