Mobile police help student in flooded areas return to school in Danang

PSNews – As soon as the floods went away, dozens of officers from the Special Task-Force Battalion 3 came to damaged schools in Danang city's Hoa Vang district to help local teachers and students clean up facilitates to soon resume schooling.

The country's Central region has been battered by torrential downpours since last week, causing severe flooding and landslides. Many places in the region are experiencing the worst flood in decades. By October 13, the natural disaster claimed at least 29 lives and left dozens of others missing.

Over the past days, following an emergency dispatch from the Ministry of Public Security and the direction of the Mobile Police High Command, the the Special Task-Force Battalion 3 has deployed hundreds of officers, soldiers and means to help local people dealing with the flood.

In Danang city’s Hoa Vang district, 11 schools were terribly devastated by the recent flooding. Against the backdrop, dozens of officers from the Special Task-Force Battalion 3 have been mobilized to clean up school facilities, helping them to soon reopen schools.

The officers also join hand with locals in cleaning up roads, office buildings, medical stations and houses, helping locals to soon resume their normal daily life.

According to the battalion’s leader, the unit has maintained the 24/24 duty regulation for all of its officers and soldiers, who will be ready to undertake natural disaster relief and search and rescue mission upon request.
