Over the past year, Thanh Hoa city has consolidated steering committees for order andsecurity with 664 membersin all of the 34 wards and communes, 24 village-level security teams with 72 members, 30 residential area protection committees with 289 leaders and 552 members, corporate guard teams with 1,192 members, 2,241 public security groups with 100,468 members. 

So far, 311 residential areas, 164 agencies, businesses and 151 schools have registered to meet the "order, safety and security" standard.

In particular, the communal-level social security team has served as a core on-the-spot force, proactively and actively implementing measures to prevent and control the COVID-19 pandemic, especially in isolated and blocked areas.

Meanwhile, the local police and authorities have surveyed and selected a number of exemplary self-managed security models in accordance with the local situation. Among successful models are "Environmental workers - patrol officers", " Security cameras" and "Veterans ensuring security and order and traffic safetyat school gates.”

The model of "Environmental workers - patrolling officers" has achieved fruitful results over the past year. In fact, environmental workers provided the police with thousands of crime reports, including 78 valuable information sources, helping the local police detect, investigate and clarify cases of violating order and security.

Speaking at the festival, Deputy Minister Le Quoc Hung acknowledged the local authorities and people’s effort to hold the “All People Protecting National Security” Festival simultaneously at 27 communes, 559 villages and residential quarters throughout the province, creating a great emulation spirit in the province.

Deputy Minister Le Quoc Hung also spoke highly of the effectiveness of the model "Environmental workers - patrol officers" at Thanh Hoa Urban Construction and Environment Joint Stock Company.

Chairman of Thanh Hoa City People's Committee Trinh Huy Trieu awards Certificates of Merit to groups and individuals for their outstanding achievements in safeguarding order and security.

The Deputy Minister requested the Department for Building of the National Security Movement under the Ministry of Public Security to conduct research and draw lessons from operations of the model so as to replicate it in other localities across the country.

On this occasion, 11 groups and 20 individuals with outstanding achievements in building the movement of “All People Protect National Security were awarded Certificates of Merit by the Minister of Public Security, Chairman of the Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee, Director of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Police Department.

At the same time, three groups and 37 individuals in need received gifts from the Ministry of Public Security, the Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee, the Thanh Hoa Provincial Police Department and the Thanh Hoa City People's Committee.
