More cooperation between Police and Military Hospitals required for better treatment of cancer

PSNews-A Scientific Seminar on Cancer in Armed Forces’ Hospital was held on June 15 by the Oncology Center of Hospital 198 and the Mobilization Board for the Establishment of the Armed Forces Cancer Association to share experience and advances in treatment of cancer among healthcare institutions of the Public Security Forces and military.

In recent years, the number of cancer cases inside and outside the armed forces has been increasing, and has now become a major issue in treatment and preventive care at healthcare facilities of the armed forces, according to Lieutenant General, Professor, Doctor Pham Quang Cu, Deputy Director of General Department of Logistics and Techniques (G.D 4). is the fact requires experts on cancer in armed forces to promote cooperation in sharing experience, expertise and technology for better examination and treatment of cancers.

Experts and specialists participating in the seminar updated new information and advances in cancer treatment, with the aim of improving cancer treatment in the armed forces.

With its high-quality staff trained at prestigious cancer centers in and outside the country, Hospital 198 has adopted many modern cancer therapies. The hospital has also successfully conducted operations on cancers of the tongue, oral cavity, thyroid, ear, breast cancer, stomach, rectum, rectum, liver, cervix and ovary.

Many military and police hospitals have been equipped with modern medical machinery and have had experienced doctors in the field of cancer. Several cancer centers or cancer specializing hospitals have been established and operated effectively, said Prof. Dr. Le Trung Hai.

However, the increasing number of cancer cases has become a big problem in various healthcare facilities of the armed forces. As a result, cooperation in diagnosis, treatment and prevention of cancer now becomes an urgent requirement.
