MPS actively studies and realizes Resolution 4 of the 12th PCC

PSNews – The Central Public Security Party Committee and the Ministry of Public Security held a conference on July 3 morning to review task performance in the first 6 months of 2017 and roll out missions for the second half.

Senior Lieutenant General To Lam, Politburo member, Minister of Public Security chaired the conference.

Before the meeting, the Central Public Security Party Committee and leaders of the Public Security Ministry offered wreath and incense at the Memorial Hall of President Ho Chi Minh in the campus of the Headquarters of the Ministry of Public Security.

The whole public security force always remembers the great contribution of President Ho Chi Minh to the revolutionary cause of the Party and Vietnamese people in general and the public security force in particular.

The public security force will wholeheartedly strive for the goals of the Party and objectives of the revolutionary cause; continuously study and work in accordance with the thought, morals and style of President Ho Chi Minh, 6 teachings of Uncle Ho to the public security force; and build a strong and elite public security force in the new period.

Addressing the conference, Minister To Lam clearly stated: 

The conference is held in the context when the whole Party, people and armed forces are striving to implement the Resolution of the 12th Party Congress, guidelines, directives, resolutions of the Politburo, the Secretariat, the Central Party Committee, the National Assembly and the Government on economy, culture, society, defense, security and foreign affairs. 

Minister To Lam underscored that the conference plays a necessary and important role in the current situation. We should focus on implementing strictly and effectively Resolution 4 of the 12th Party Central Committee on enhancing Party building and reorganization; preventing and rolling back degeneration of political ideology, morality and lifestyle of Party members as well as the manifestation of “self-evolution” and “self-transformation” inside the Party;

Resolution 5 of the 12th Party Central Committee on completing the socialist-oriented market economy institution, continuing to re-organize, renovate and improve the efficiency of State-owned enterprises and developing the private economy into an important driving force of the socialist-oriented market economy”.

From the beginning of this year, under the leadership and direction of the Party, the State, thanks to the close coordination and collaboration of ministries, branches, localities and the support and assistance of people, the public security force has tried its best to resolutely implement policies and solutions articulated in the Resolution of the Central Public Security Party Committee and Directive of the Ministry of Public Security on the tasks of 2017 with the aims of ensuring national security, social order and safety in all situations, contributing to maintaining political stability, and creating favorable conditions for socio-economic development and foreign affairs of the country.

The international and regional complex situations create both opportunities and challenges for national security, social order and safety as well as for building the public security force.

With a spirit of straightforwardness and truthfulness to assess the current situation, Minister To Lam instructed all participants to uphold their sense of responsibility to study documents and actively participated in all discussions during the conference.

Additionally, Senior Lieutenant General To Lam emphasized that delegates should clarify difficulties, inadequacies and challenges during the working process, so as to clearly identify solutions and give proposals to the Central Public Security Party Committee.

After that the remarks of the Secretary of the Central Public Security Party Committee and Minister of the Public Security, Senior Lieutenant General To Lam, Senior Lieutenant General Bui Van Nam, Deputy Minister of Public Security briefed participants on results of task performance of the whole public security force in the first 6 months and central tasks for the next 6 months of 2017. 

Under the direction of Senior Lieutenant General Le Quy Vuong, Deputy Minister of Public Security, delegates thoroughly reviewed, actively discussed and exactly evaluated results achieved by the whole public security force in H1; exchanged experiences in implementing assignments in accordance with characteristics of each unit with the aim of successfully fulfill all tasks in H2 of 2017.
