MPS always attaches importance to foreign relations

General To Lam, Minister of Public Security, hosted a meeting on November 8 with heads of representative offices of Vietnam in the term 2019-2022.

The event also saw the presence of Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Nguyen Quoc Dung, leaders of the MPS and other units under the Ministry.

Speaking at the event, Minister To Lam extended his congratulations and best wishes to the newly appointed diplomatic officials.  

Minister To Lam emphasized that the MPS always attached importance to promoting foreign relations and international cooperation. He also spoke highly of the great support for the Public Security Forces from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, particularly the  important position of representative offices of Vietnam in other countries, which serve as outposts detecting and preventing hostile forces from infiltrating into Vietnam, and also the gateway of Vietnam to the world, helping international friends to understand and expand cooperation with the Vietnamese People's Public Security Forces.

The diplomatic officials thanked the MPS and Minister To Lam for their care and support for them. They affirmed that the Foreign Ministry in general and representative offices of Vietnam in foreign countries will further strengthen collaboration with functional agencies under the MPS in relevant areas, contributing to promoting the country’s external relations, and serving the tasks of protecting national security and ensuring social order and safety.
