MPS develops project on organization and operation of socio-political organizations

The Ministry of Public Security (MPS) on April 21 held the first meeting of the Steering Committee for research and development of the project on organization and operation of social and political organizations in the People's Public Security Forces.

Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Thanh, Member of the Party Central Committee and Deputy Minister of Public Security attended and delivered a keynote speech at the meeting.

At the meeting, Lieutenant General Dao Gia Bao, Director of the Department of Party and Political Affairs, announced decisions of the Public Security Central Committee on the establishment of a Steering Committee and an Editorial Team for the project.

According to the decisions, the Scheme Steering Committee, headed by Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Thanh, consists of 12 members while the Editorial Team with 15 members is led by Major General Nguyen Duc Minh, Deputy Director of the Department of Party and Political Affairs.

Delegates at the meeting discussed issues related to the project and the working schedule as well as proposed solutions to the existing difficulties in drafting the project.

Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Thanh requested the Scheme Steering Committee and Editorial Team to study the current organization and operation of  social and political organizations in the People's Public Security Forces as well as organize workshops to seek advice from Party Committees at all levels, experts, scientists inside and outside the People's Public Security Forces, particularly cadres in charge of the Youth Union, Trade Union and Women’s Union.

Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Thanh empathized that the project should feature the identities of the Youth Union, Women's Union and Trade Union in general and these organizations in the People's Public Security Forces in particular so that the social and political organizations in the People's Public Security Forces can catch up with the current trend of international integration, as well as successfully address non-traditional security challenges in the face of the Industrial Revolution 4.0. 

He also asked the Editorial Team to consider all recommendations, finalize the draft project and submit it to the Public Security Central Party Committee for approval on time.
