MPS encourages its sport team participating in Vietnam National Games

PSNews - The Ministry of Public Security (MPS) held a meeting on November 15 to encourage the sport delegation of the Public Security Forces to compete at the 8th Vietnam National Games.

Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Thanh, Deputy Minister of Public Security attended the event and offered flowers to the athletes.

The National Games is a major sport event of Vietnam, which is organized every 4 years, with the participation of delegations from all provinces and centrally-run cities as well as the army and public security forces. 

With the participation in the games of the Public Security Forces bears political and social significance, and especially reflects the movement of physical training and sports in the forces.

In the previous games, the sport delegation of the Public Security Forces achieved big records. This year, the MPS has selected 256 athletes to participate in the games and compete in 21 games, including shooting, boxing, table tennis, badminton, to name but a few.

The participating athletes of the Public Security Forces are the public security officers and soldiers with high records at the branch-level sport tournaments and sport movements. With their high resolve and competence, they have been expected to enter the list of the top 10 leading delegations. 

Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Thanh praised all efforts of all athletes, coaches in the past time.

He urged all athletes and coaches to try their best, and hoped that the sport team of the Public Security Forces would achieve high records at the 2018 National Games.
