The Ministry of Public Security (MPS) organized a videoconference in December 7 to review Party and political work in 2021.

The virtual meeting held at the MPS Headquarters was connected with all provincial-level police departments of the 63 municipalities and provinces.

Lieutenant General Tran Quoc To, Member of the Party Central Committee, Vice Secretary of the Public Security Central Party Committee and Deputy Minister of Public Security, chaired the event.

Speaking at the event, Deputy Minister Tran Quoc To highlighted the importance of Party and political work in maintaining and strengthening the Party’s comprehensive and direct leadership of the all aspects of the Public Security Forces.

He also noted that, Party committees and leaders of all public security units should seriously implement all resolutions, directives and conclusions of the Party Central Committee on Party building and effectively apply them to operations of the Public Security Forces.

All Party organizations in the Public Security Forces should realize Conclusion 21 of the Fourth Meeting of the 13th Party Central Committee on enhancing Party building and rectification of the entire Party organization and political system, resolutely prevent and hold back Party members’ and cadres’ degradations in terms of ideology, ethics and lifestyle, as well as drastically struggle against manifestations of “self-evolution” and “self-transformation”.

The entire Public Security Forces should also implement Regulation 37 of the Party Central Committee on 19 acts that members of the Communist Party of Vietnam must not do; Directive 05 of the Politburo on movement “Studying and following Ho Chi Minh's thought, morality and lifestyle,” and couple it with the movements “Public Security Forces learning and following six teachings” and “Building on People’s Public Security Officers’ qualities of bravery and humanity and dedication to the people”.

Deputy Minister Tran Quoc To stressed that Party committees of public security agencies and units should raise political education and political awareness for their Party members and officers as well as realize the position and role of Party and political work, and strengthen their leadership of this work.

All public security agencies and units should further promote the “National Security Protection” movement and other emulation movements in the time to come. They should pay more attention to officers working in remote areas and communal police force and regularly praise those who have made outstanding achievements.
