MPS follows Uncle Ho’s teachings to build strong public security forces

PSNews – The Ministry of Public Security (MPS) and the Communist on March 5 jointly held a national scientific conference to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the movement “Public Security Forces following six teachings of Uncle Ho.”

The event was also attended by various senior officials, including Mr. Vo Van Thuong, Member of the Politburo, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Commission for Information and Communications; Mr. Nguyen Xuan Thang, Member of the Party Central Committee, Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics; Mr. Thuan Huu, Member of the Party Central Committee, Vice Head of the Central Commission for Information and Communications and Editor-in-Chief of the Nhan Dan (People) Newspaper.

In his opening remarks, Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Thanh, Member of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Steering Board of the conference emphasized that President Ho Chi Minh always attached great importance to education, training and development of the public security forces in all aspects. Uncle Ho sent his 6 teachings to the People’s Public Security Forces in a letter to Mr. Hoang Mai, Director of Police Zone 7 on March 11, 1946.

The deputy minister also highlighted that public security agencies and units nationwide are carrying activities in various forms to promote the movement of following the 6 teachings by Uncle Ho to the People’s Public Security Forces.

Meanwhile, the MPS has issued a number of directives, major policies and specific measures to promote the movement.

In the past years, the movement has become a practical revolutionary activity in line with other national emulation movements.

Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Thanh highlighted the achievements and contributions of the entire public security forces to the national security and construction cause. He also emphasized that the People's Public Security Forces have closely followed and well implemented the instructions of President Ho Chi Minh that require the People’s Public Security Forces to win the people’s trust, love and support.

Deputy Minister Thanh also pointed out several shortcomings and weaknesses in the implementation of the movement, requesting public security agencies and units as well as every officer to seriously follow and act upon the teachings of Uncle Ho.

Participants then discussed measures and proposed various ideas to build regular, strong, clean and elite public security forces.
