MPS holds meeting with generations of security officers

PSNews - The Public Security Central Party Committee and the Ministry of Public Security (MPS) held a meeting on July 11, 2022, in Hanoi, with generations of security officers, on the occasion of the 76th founding anniversary the People's Security Force (July 12, 1946 - July 12, 2022).

Secretary of the Public Security Central Party Committee and Minister of Public Security General To Lam chaired the meeting, which also saw Deputy Secretary of the Central Public Security Party Committee and Deputy Minister of Public Security Senior Lieutenant General Tran Quoc To, Deputy Minister of Public Security Senior Lieutenant General Luong Tam Quang, former leaders of the MPS: Senior Lieutenant General Le The Tiem, Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Huong, Senior Lieutenant General Le Quy Vuong, Senior Lieutenant General Bui Van Nam, Senior Lieutenant General Pham Dung, and public security officers entitled “Heroes of the People's Armed Forces”.

Addressing the event, Minister To Lam affirmed that former leaders of the Ministry of Public Security and generations of security officers in all periods contributed significantly to the fruitful work results recently achieved by the People's Public Security Forces. Although being retired, many public security officers are still devoted to the cause of safeguarding national security, maintaining public order and safety and building the People's Public Security Forces.

They always grasp the situation and give good ideas and advice to the MPS leadership; by doing so, they have contributed to national security and defense as well as development of the country.

General To Lam believe that the knowledge and experience of retired public security officers, particularly high-ranking ones, are very useful to the building of pure, strong, regular, elite and modernized Public Security Forces in line of the Politburo Resolution 12.
