MPS holds second meeting of 39th ASEANAPOL Organizing Committee

The second meeting of the 39th ASEANAPOL Organizing Committee was held in Hanoi. The 39th ASEANAPOL Conference, to take place from September 17 to 19, is expected to welcome 250 delegates from 27 countries and international organizations.

As Vietnam is the Chairman of the ASEANAPOL in 2019, it hosts all relevant activities. The 2nd meeting of the Organizing Committee of the 39th ASEANAPOL Conference listened to reports from sub-committees on their preparations for the conference. Delegates also discussed approaches to promote coordination among support forces to ensure success for the upcoming 39th ASEANAPOL Conference. 

At the meeting, leaders of the Ministry of Public Security (MPS) emphasized the importance of the event, saying that it would provide an opportunity for the Vietnamese Public Security Forces to make a good impression on their peers from other ASEAN members.

At this point, the MPS has mobilized forces and means and taken various measures to ensure security and order for the event.

Speaking at the meeting, Lieutenant General Tran Van Ve, Chief of the Police Investigation Authority under the MPS, Vice Head of the Organizing Committee of the 39th ASEANAPOL, appreciated the ideas and recommendations raised by delegates at the meeting. He also gave concrete directions to sub-committees of the Organizing Committee of the 39th ASEANAPOL Conference.
