Regarding bilateral security and law enforcement cooperation, Minister Luong Tam Quang underlined that the Cooperation Agreement on fighting against international terrorism, organized crime, international illicit trafficking of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances and their precursors and other types of crime between the two countries signed in 2007 had created a legal basis for the two sides to promote cooperation in law enforcement.

Regarding orientations for bilateral cooperation the coming time, the host suggested that the two sides should step up the negotiation and signing of a Cooperation Agreement on Non-traditional Security between the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam and the Turkish Ministry of the Interior, while considering about the negotiation of other cooperation documents such as agreements on extradition and transfer of sentenced persons, so as to create a firm legal basis for law enforcement cooperation.
