Leaders of the Ministry of Public Security (MPS), namely Deputy Minister Senior Lieutenant General Luong Tam Quang and Deputy Minister Major General Le Quoc Hung, as well as MPS Office Chief and Spokesperson Lieutenant General To An Xo and representatives from various agencies under the MPS attended the meeting.
The event also saw the presence of Mr. Le Quoc Minh, Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Head of the Central Party Committee’s Commission for Information and Education, Editor-in-Chief of the Nhan Dan (People’s) Newspaper, Chairman of the Vietnam Journalists’ Association; Mr. Tran Thanh Lam, Deputy Head of the Central Commission for Information and Education; Mr. Pham Anh Tuan, Deputy Minister of Information and Communications;
Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Hien, Deputy Director General of the Vietnam Television; Mr. Vu Hai Quang, Deputy Director General of the Voice of Vietnam; Mr. Nguyen Hong Sam, Director General of the Government Portal among leaders of other media and news agencies inside and outside the People's Public Security Forces.
At the meeting, Minister To Lam briefed the delegates on outstanding achievements made by the Public Security Forces in 2021 as well as thanked the press authorities and news agencies for their assistance and cooperation with the Public Security Forces, saying that they contributed significantly to ensuring security, social order and safety, and building the forces over the past time.
Minister To Lam hailed the cooperation between the MPS and the press over the past time.
According to him, newspapers, media and other publications have highlighted the emage of the Public Security Forces in protecting national security, maintaining public order and safety via their timely and effective coverage.
The domestic press and media also went along with the Public Security Forces to fight reactionary and hostile forces on the information, cultural and ideological front, thus effectively contributing to socio-economic development and the cause of national defense and security protection, and international integration.
Minister To Lam hoped that the press management authorities as well as media and news agencies to continue their coordination and support for the Public Security Forces, helping them effectively implement all assigned tasks in the coming time.
On behalf of the press management authorities and news agencies at the meeting, Chairman of the Vietnam Journalists’ Association Le Quoc Minh praised the achievements and efforts that the People's Public Security Forces have made in 2021. He also thanked the MPS leadership for the warm meeting.
Mr. Le Quoc Minh hoped that in the coming time, the Public Security Forces will strengthen their cooperation with the press and media as well as to provide information about their operations to the press and media so that the press and media can have more interesting reports and stories about the forces to tell domestic and international readers.
