In recent years, the Ministry of Public Security has stepped up the application of science and technology to build data infrastructure and modern fire alert systems, aiming for advanced international standards for the firefighting and rescue sector.

Notably, the Ministry of Public Security embarked on the project to develop a centralized fire incident reporting system, designed as an integrated and interconnected platform, which allows the Fire and Rescue Police Department and provincial-level police departments to maintain their command, control, management and supervision over firefighting and rescue operations nationwide in a synchronized seamless manner.

The system integrates alerts from the 114 emergency hotline with the “Fire Alert 114” mobile application and supports authentication via VneID, allowing citizens and enterprises to report fire incidents, transmit images and videos of the case and share the real-time location, thereby significantly shortening the critical “golden time” for emergency response.

Addressing the ceremony, Deputy Minister Le Van Tuyen emphasized that the launch of the system marks a transition from traditional firefighting and rescue models to a modern command-and-control approach based on real-time data sharing technologies.

He requested the Fire and Rescue Police Department, as the standing body for firefighting and rescue, to proactively coordinate with relevant functional units to urgently complete the overall system architecture, ensuring stability, security, synchronization, scalability and convenience for data connection and sharing with ministries, sectors and localities.

The Deputy Minister also called on ministries and sectors to seriously implement the Law on Fire Prevention and Fighting within their respective mandates, while ensuring interoperability with the Command Information Center and the national database on fire prevention and firefighting.
