MPS leader congratulate Buddhist dignitaries 40th founding anniversary of Vietnam Buddhist Sangha

A delegation of the Ministry of Public Security (MPS) led by Deputy Minister Lieutenant General Tran Quoc To visited the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS) on the occasion of its 40th founding anniversary (November 7, 1981 – 2021).

Most Venerable Thich Thanh Nhieu, Standing Vice Chairman of the VBS Executive Council, received the delegation.

On behalf of the Public Security Central Party Committee and the MPS leadership, Deputy Minister Tran Quoc To extended congratulations to Most Venerable Thich Thanh Nhieu as well as all Buddhist dignitaries and followers across the country.

The Deputy Minister affirmed that, since its establishment four decades ago, the VBS has always accompanied the nation in the cause of national construction and development, while actively mobilizing Buddhist followers to join efforts in ensuring security and social order.

Deputy Minister Tran Quoc To hoped that in the coming time, the VBS and all Buddhists would continue to cement the great national unity bloc and bring into full play fine traditions of Vietnamese Buddhism as well as actively participate in patriotic emulation movements and local social security programs.

For his part, Most Venerable Thich Thanh Nhieu thanked the MPS leadership and the People's Public Security Forces for their effective support for the VBS as well as Buddhist monks, nuns and followers over the past time.

He emphasized that the VBS and its Executive Boards in provinces and cities across the country will continue to coordinate with the  Public Security Forces to maintain local security and social order in the coming time, contributing to maintaining peace and happiness for the people...
