MPS leader meets delegation of Ha Giang province

Minister of Public Security General To Lam and Secretary of the Ha Giang Provincial Party Committee Dang Quoc Khanh co-host a meeting with a delegation of the Party Committee, People’s Council and People’s Committee of Ha Giang province on the afternoon of June 16 in Hanoi.

Present at the event were also Deputy Minister of Public Security Senior Lieutenant General Tran Quoc To, Deputy Minister of Public Security Senior Lieutenant General Luong Tam Quang, Deputy Minister of Public Security Lieutenant General Nguyen Duy Ngoc, Deputy Minister of Public Security Lieutenant General Le Quoc Hung and leaders of MPS agencies.

The delegation included Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Ha Giang Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Ha Giang Provincial People’s Council Thao Hong Son, Deputy Secretary of the Ha Giang Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Ha Giang Provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Van Son, and other leaders of the province.

At the meeting, Minister To Lam congratulated the Party organization and people of Ha Giang on their great achievements in socio-economic development in the past years. 

He revealed that the Ministry of Public Security (MPS) and the provincial leadership have closely coordinated in safeguarding national security, ensuring public order and safety as well as building the provincial police force over the past years. As a result, the number of social order offences reduced 25% in the first half of 2022 while the clearance rate of the criminal cases reached 97%, including 100% of the serious criminal cases cleared.

The MPS leader also pointed out that the provincial police force has been streamlined and is building a regular, elite, modernized force, meeting the task requirements in the current situation. Stressing the efficiency of the project to deploy commissioned police officers to townships and communes, he said that there have been positive changes across the province in terms of residency management, management of conditional business lines, public order and security at grassroots levels.

General To Lam hoped that the Party committee and government of the province would continue to coordinate closely with the Public Security Central Party Committee and MPS in the coming time in building the province’s communal-level police force and investing in working facilities for communal-level police posts, contributing to ensuring public order and security at grassroots levels. 

Secretary Dang Quoc Khanh expressed sincere thanks to the MPS and General To Lam for their great support and care for the province and local people, and affirmed that the good coordination of the Public Security Central Party Committee and MPS with the Ha Giang Provincial Party Committee and the Ha Giang Provincial People’s Committee has been a decisive factor for the province to achieve big successes in socio-economic development as well as national security and defense in the past years.

He also acknowledged the effort and achievement of the provincial police, saying that the deployment of commissioned police officers to townships and towns is a proper policy, contributing to national security, border security, public order and safety in the border province of Ha Giang.
