A delegation of the Ministry of Public Security (MPS) led by Deputy Minister Major General Le Van Tuyen worked with the Department of Equipment and Warehousing on March 30.

At the meeting, Major General Bui Thien Dung, Director of the Department of Equipment and Warehousing, briefed the deputy minister and his entourage on the outstanding achievements of the department over the past time.

Speaking at the event, Deputy Minister Le Van Tuyen applauded the effort and achievements of the department and urged them to pay attention to reviewing legal documents related to the public security equipment and warehousing sector.

Additionally, they should accelerate administrative reform, advise higher level authorities on procurement and allocation of technical means and public security equipment.

The sector was also asked to increase inspections and guide local police units on managing and supplying logistics to affiliated agencies and units in line with regulations.

The department should accelerate the implementation of assigned projects, actively draw up appropriate plans on procurement, equipment and supplies for public security agencies and units and the entire Public Security Forces.

At the same time, they should consolidate the warehousing system and transport capacities, meeting short-, mid- and long- term requirements for various operations of the Public Security Forces.

The department’s leadership was asked to continuously improve qualifications and skills for officers, proactively ensure logistical and financial capacities to meet the requirements of public security agencies and units for their regular and unexpected tasks as well as the protection of security and safety for major economic, political, cultural and diplomatic events in the country.
