Senior Colonel Nguyen The Hung, Director of the Ninh Thuan Provincial Police Department briefed the Deputy Minister on the implementation of the Politburo’s Resolution No. 192-QD/TW on building Party organizations in the People's Public Security Forces, saying the Ninh Thuan Provincial Police Party Committee has seriously and effectively rolled out plans, programs and projects on Party and force building in line with the directions of the Party  Central  Committee, the MPS, the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial People's Committee.

Police units in the province are placed under the direct, comprehensive leadership of the local Party Committees while strictly comply with the resolutions and directives of their higher-level Public Security Party Committees on ensuring political security, maintaining social order and safety, developing the local police force, and building clean, strong Party organizations.

In recent times, the Ninh Thuan provincial police have investigated 42 criminal cases, cleared 33 drug-related cases and arrested 47 drug trafficking suspects.

They also ensured traffic order and fire safety, contributing to safeguarding activities of local authorities and people during the Lunar New Year festival.

The Ninh Thuan Provincial Police Department has so far posted 271 commissioned police officers to all 47 communes in the province. After being deployed to the grassroots level, those police officers actively advised the Party committees and local authorities on measures and work plans to effectively ensure security and order. As communal police have ensured local peace and provided practical support for local people, they have won the hearts and souls of local residents.

Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Minister Tran Quoc To praised the police forces in Ninh Thuan province for their achievements over the past time.

Emphasizing some key tasks for the provincial police in the coming time, Deputy Minister Tran Quoc To requested the Ninh Thuan Provincial Police Department to proactively propose policies and measures to protect political security, maintain social order and security in the province as well as attach importance to protecting economic security, cyber security, and setting religious and ethnic affairs.

The Deputy Minister also asked the local police to pay due attention to Party and force building, promote political education for their and soldiers, and focus on preventing corruption.
