MPS leader works with police of Dong Nai, Binh Duong

Deputy Minister of Public Security Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Son, leading a delegation of the Ministry of Public Security (MPS), on October 26 visited the provincial police departments of Dong Nai and Binh Duong.

*At the Dong Nai Provincial Police Department:

According to Senior Colonel Tran Tien Dat, Deputy Director of the Dong Nai Provincial Police Department, during the pandemic, the provincial police issued travel permits to local people meeting medical conditions and deployed their forces to control the travelling of local people in order to prevent the spread of the disease.

Under the authority of the Prime Minister, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Son awards Certificates of Merit to excellent teams and officers of the Dong Nai Provincial Police Department.

They also sent police officers to join inter-sectoral teams to inspect and supervise the implementation of anti-pandemic regulations in industrial parks.

Additionally, the local police forces supported 56,000 needy people to return to their home villages during the pandemic.

Regarding the fight against crimes, the police of Dong Nai successfully destroyed two large-scale criminal rings related to drug trafficking and petroleum smuggling, and seized 50kg of drugs, military weapons among other exhibits.

Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Son praised the provincial police for their high sense of responsibility and sacrifice for safety and lives of the people while maintaining security and order in the locality, and joining efforts in fighting the COVID-19 pandemic.

*During his visit to the Binh Duong Provincial Police Department:

The Deputy Minister met with key cadres of the provincial police. At the meeting, Senior Colonel Trinh Ngoc Quyen, Director of the Binh Duong Provincial Police Department, briefed the Deputy Minister and the delegation on the pandemic situation in the province, saying that Binh Duong had recorded 228,000 cases of COVID-19 infection out of its population of 2.6 million.

However, the police force of Binh Duong has drastically taken measures to prevent and control the disease, contributing to gradually stamping out the pandemic in the locality.

Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Son spoke highly of the Binh Duong provincial police's efforts to overcome difficulties and fulfill the task of combating the COVID-19 pandemic while ensuring security and order in the locality.
