MPS leaders pay tribute to President Ho Chi Minh

The Central Party Committee of Public Security and leaders of the Ministry of Public Security (MPS) paid floral tribute to late President Ho Chi Minh on December 24 prior to the 75th National Conference of Public Security Forces.

The tribute ceremony was held at the President Ho Chi Minh Memorial House in the headquarters of the MPS and was hosted by General To Lam, member of the Politburo, Secretary of the Public Security Central Party Committee, Minister of Public Security. The event was also joined by members of the Public Security Central Party Committee and leaders of the MPS.

In front of President Ho Chi Minh' statue, representatives of the MPS briefed Uncle Ho on the forces' task performance over the past year.

Reports read that the year of 2020 may offer both opportunities and challenges to the tasks of ensuring political security, social order and safety and force building of the Public Security Forces.

The international, regional and domestic situations may witness complicated developments. Vietnam will resume the ASEAN Chair, a non-permanent seat at the UN Security Council, and Chairman of the 41st AIPA.

Meanwhile, other important events in 2020 include Party congresses at all levels, including the National Party Congress for the 2020-2025 term, the 90th anniversary of the Communist Party of Vietnam, 75th anniversary of the August Revolution, 75 years of founding of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, 45 years of Liberation of the South and national reunification, 130th birthday of President Ho Chi Minh, 75th anniversary of the Public Security Forces and 15th anniversary of the movement “All people protecting national security.”

In front of President Ho Chi Minh' statue, members of the Central Party Committee of Public Security and leaders of the Ministry of Public Security promised to further promote the outstanding achievements of 2018, follow the working motto "Active, Exemplary, Disciplined, Responsible and Efficient", and resolve to successfully fulfill the working plan 2020 and achieve more successes.

At the ceremony, Minister to Lam and delegates respectfully offered incense and flowers to President Ho Chi Minh, and showed their respect and gratitude to the great President.
