MPS, National Political Publishing House to host national scientific seminar on setting examples

The Ministry of Public Security (MPS), in coordination with the “Su That” (Truth) National Political Publishing House, on June 24 held a press conference to introduce an upcoming national scientific seminar themed "The responsibility for setting examples of cadres and Party members of the People's Public Security Forces in the new situation".

Senior Lieutenant General, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Thanh, Member of the Party Central Committee and Deputy Minister of Public Security, and Mr. Pham Chi Thanh, Acting Editor-in-Chief of the “Su That” National Political Publishing House, co-chaired the press conference.

Speaking at the event, Deputy Minister Thanh emphasized that the national scientific seminar to be jointly held by the two agencies in the coming time will contribute to effectively promoting the practical coordination between the MPS and the National Political Publishing House.

At the press conference, the Organizing Committee answered questions raised by journalists on typical examples and excellent achievements of the People's Public Security Forces in the 75-year history of the Public security Forces.

Reportedly, the scientific seminar will be held online on June 29 connecting police departments of the 63 provinces and cities across the country with the participation of about 6,400 experts and public security officers.

As many as 128 reports have been sent to the Organizing Committee by leaders and former leaders of the Party, the State, the MPS, and the National Political Publishing House, experts and scientists from agencies, units and educational institutions inside and outside the People's Public Security Forces.

The Organizing Committee has established an appraisal council led by Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Thanh, which has selected 122 reports for the summary record of the seminar. The articles focus on three main scientific topics, “Cadres and Party members’ setting examples as a key leadership approach of the Vietnam Communist Party”, “Cadres and Party members of the People’s Public Security Forces’ setting examples at work”, and “Promoting the responsibility of cadres and Party members of the Public Security Forces in setting examples in the new situation”.
