MPS Office rolls out new working plans

PSNews – The Office of the Ministry of Public Security (MPS) held a conference on January 19 to review its performance of tasks in 2018 and roll out its new working plans and launch the “For National Security” movement in 2019.

Senior Lieutenant General To Lam, Politburo Member, Minister of Public Security, attended and delivered a keynote speech. Major General Luong Tam Quang, Chief of the MPS Office chaired the conference.

According to reports at the conference, the MPS Office followed the working plans, excellently completed both regular and unexpected assignments by leaders of the MPS; advised the Public Security Central Party Committee to propose the Party Central Committee and the State various policies and solutions to ensuring security and order.

For its achievements, the MPS Officer was awarded the Emulation Flag by the Government while 24 units and 132 officers under the Office were honored with certificates of merit by Emulation Committees of various levels.

Speaking at the conference, Minister To Lam praised the efforts and achievements by the MPS Office in 2018, saying that the MPS Office had made great contributions to the common achievements of the whole Public Security Forces.

Regarding its working plans for 2019, Minister Lam asked the MPS Office to promote Party work and force building, as, according to him, they serve as the decisive factor in accomplishing all assigned tasks. He also asked the Office to further reorganize its structure and rearrange its staff in an appropriate and scientific manner, uphold the discipline, increase inspection and seriously follow regulations and working rules.

The MPS Officer was also assigned to advise MPS leaders on building the e-government network in the Public Security Forces and develop an advanced and professional Command Center.

Minister To Lam stressed that the MPS Office should well perform its role as the speaker of the ministry; give the press and people accurate information about issues of public concern and policies of the Party, the State and the MPS on security and order in a timely manner, to gain more supports from the society for the task implementation of the Public Security Forces.

At the Conference, Minister Lam handed the Emulation Flag awarded by the Government to the Security Staff Division of the MPS Office, and Certificates of Merit of the MPS to 3 units and 8 officers for their outstanding achievements in 2018.
