MPS opens “Tran Quoc Hoan - Life and Career” exhibition

On the occasion of the 110th birthday of former Politburo Member and former Minister of Public Security Tran Quoc Hoan (January 23, 1916 – 2026), the Ministry of Public Security solemnly held the opening ceremony of the exhibition “Tran Quoc Hoan – Life and Career,” on the afternoon of January 18, in Hanoi.

Member of the Politburo and Minister of Public Security Luong Tam Quang chaired the ceremony.

The exhibition aims to introduce to public security officers and the public the great contributions of late Minister Tran Quoc Hoan to the revolutionary cause of the Party and the nation in general, and to the building of the Public Security Forces in particular. 

It also aims to educate generations of officers and enlistees, especially young personnel of the Public Security Forces, to study and creatively apply his viewpoints and ideology in safeguarding political security, maintaining social order and safety, and building the Public Security Forces in the new period.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Minister Luong Tam Quang emphasized that the exhibition showcases more than 850 carefully selected documents, artifacts and images, which comprehensively, vividly and authentically reflect Tran Quoc Hoan’s revolutionary life, leadership and direction, and highlight his particularly outstanding contribution to the revolutionary cause.

Each document, artifact or image, the Minister noted, is not only a historical testament but also a profound lesson on his revolutionary ideology, political steadfastness, public service ethics and sense of responsibility for serving the Fatherland and the people.

The Minister expressed his hope that the exhibition would provide an opportunity for public security officers and people to revise the proud traditions of the Public Security Forces, continue learning from and following the example of Minister Tran Quoc Hoan, stay steadfast in revolutionary goals and ideology, continuously cultivate moral qualities, augment professional capacity, and build revolutionary, regular, elite and modern Public Security Forces to meet their task requirements in the new situation.

The exhibition is open from January 18 to January 25, 2026, at the headquarters of the Ministry of Public Security, No. 96 Nguyen Du Street, Cua Nam Ward, Hanoi.
