MPS plans to celebrate 60 years of People's Police Force

The Ministry of Public Security (MPS) on July 20 held a meeting chaired by Deputy Minister Lieutenant General Nguyen Duy Ngoc to discuss plans for celebration of the People's Police Force’s 60th Founding Anniversary Day (July 20, 1962 - 2022).

At the meeting, the MPS Office announced a decision of the Minister of Public Security on the establishment of a Steering Committee for Celebration of the 60th Founding Day of the People's Police Force. 

According to the decision, Deputy Minister Nguyen Duy Ngoc and Deputy Minister Major General Le Quoc Hung are is the Chairman and Vice Chairman, respectively. 

Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Minister Nguyen Duy Ngoc stated that the celebration aims to recall the history and honor the achievements of the People's Police Force over the past six decades as well as to affirm the core role of the police force in fighting crimes, ensuring social order and safety. 

Deputy Minister Nguyen Duy Ngoc also asked all members of the Steering Committee and leaders of all police units to promote their sense of responsibility and work out detailed plans to organize activities and emulation movements in celebration of the force’s 60th Founding Anniversary in a meaningful, effectively and thrifty manner as well as in line with anti-COVID-19 regulations.
