MPS popularizes newly-adopted laws related to Public Security Forces

PSNews - Recently, the Ministry of Public Security (MPS) held a conference via video conferencing in Hanoi to popularize legal documents related to the Public Security Forces newly adopted at the 10th and 11th Session of the 14thNational Assembly.

    The event, which was chaired by Senior Lieutenant General Le Quy Vuong, Deputy Secretary of the Public Security Central Party Committee (PSCPC) and Deputy Minister of Public Security, was connected with all under-ministerial public security agencies and provincial-level police departments nationwide.

    Addressing the conference, Deputy Minister Le Quy Vuong stated that the newly-adopted legal documents serve as an important legal framework for the Public Security Forces to perform their tasks of fighting crimes, handling law violations, protecting the Party and national security, ensuring social order and safety, contributing to building an E-Government as well as building revolutionary, regular, elite, and modern Public Security Forces.

    At the conference, the 2020 Law on Residence, the amended Law on Handling of Administrative Violations 2020, the 2021 Law on Drug Prevention and Combat as well as other legal documents related to the implementation of above-mentioned laws were introduced to the delegates by experts from the Ministry of Public Security and Ministry of Justice.

    Delegates also listened to a report on the drafting of guiding documents for the implementation of the 2020 Law on Residence concerning the management of foreigners’ residence in Vietnam.

    On behalf of the PSCPC, Deputy Minister Vuong asked all public security agencies and units to actively work out on specific plans to further popularize such legal documents to all officers and soldiers while promptly and effectively enforcing the above-mentioned laws when they take effect.
