The delegation comprised representatives from 14 leading U.S. corporations and companies operating in defence and security industries, technology and energy, alongside representatives from the U.S. Department of War and the U.S. Embassy in Viet Nam.

On behalf of the Ministry of Public Security (MPS) of Viet Nam, Minister Luong Tam Quang warmly welcomed the business delegation and representatives of relevant U.S. agencies and enterprises on their visit and working session with the ministry.

At the meeting, Minister Luong Tam Quang shared Viet Nam's major development orientations and policies, emphasizing that achieving double-digit economic growth is a central objective to create breakthroughs in the scale, quality, and competitiveness of the economy, toward successfully realizing the two centenary goals.

To realize this vital objective, Viet Nam identifies science, technology, innovation and digital transformation as key drivers to propel national development, enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of state governance, and strengthen national defence and security capabilities.

Minister Luong Tam Quang highlighted that the MPS has been entrusted by the Party and State to serve as the standing agency for national breakthroughs in science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation. In that spirit, the MPS welcomes and stands ready to cooperate with major U.S. corporations across various fields, particularly the security industry, dual-use technology, and strategic technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), semiconductors, cloud computing, big data and cybersecurity.

On behalf of the business delegation, Mr. Patrick Sweeney expressed his sincere gratitude to Minister Luong Tam Quang for the meeting with the delegation, expressing full concurrence with the Minister's assessment of Viet Nam–U.S. cooperation in recent years.
