MPS reviews Party and force building

The Ministry of Public Security (MPS) on September 26 organized a meeting to review Party and force building in the whole Public Security Forces and the implementation of the Politburo’s Regulation No. 205/QD-TW on control of powers over staffing affairs and prevention of any practice of nepotism and cronyism.

General To Lam, Politburo member, Secretary of the Public Security Central Party Committee and Minister of Public Security, chaired the meeting.

Speaking at the meeting, Minister To Lam highlighted the strengths as well as pointed out shortcomings in Party and force building. He hoped that the meeting would offer the chance for various public security agencies and units of all levels to review fully and objectively their force building work in the past time, particularly when the whole Public Security Forces are implementing the project to renew the organizational apparatus of the MPS.

According to the general report at the meeting, the Central Party Committee of Public Security, the leaders of the MPS, Party committees and chains of command of all public agencies and units have attached great importance to the Party and force building work, and seriously implemented resolutions and directives of the Party and State related to Party and force building.

Delegates at the meeting discussed effective solutions and good models in Party and force building, evaluated the results of the implementation of the Resolution of the Party Central Committee requiring all Party members, particularly leaders of agencies and units, to heighten their sense of responsibility and set examples in their Party organizations and units.

Minister To Lam applauded the achievements of agencies and units in conducting Party and force building work. He also asked all public security agencies and units to identify and overcome their shortcomings and weaknesses to better the work of Party and force building in the time to come.

Minister To Lam emphasized that the general requirement of the Party and force building work in the Public Security Forces is to build clean, comprehensively strong and good operational public security forces that have a good relationship with the people via their strong grassroots-level police force at communes. Minister To Lam also requested leaders of public security agencies and units at all levels to further strengthen the supervision, inspection, and prevent and handle any manifestations of degradation in political ideology, morality, lifestyle, myopathy.

Minister To Lam assigned all public security agencies and units to promote education and training in terms of both politics and profession of all officers and the ranks, contributing to  their Party and force building work.
