MPS reviews Party and political work of Southern public security agencies and units

The Ministry of Public Security (MPS) organized a conference on November 28 to review Party and political work in the second half of 2020 of public security agencies and units stationed in the South.

Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Thanh, Deputy Minister of Public Security, attended the meeting.

After being briefed on activities of Party and political work conducted by the Southern public security agencies and units in the past months, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Thanh appreciated their good results of the work.

He urged the Party committees and leaders of all Southern public security agencies and units to raise their sense of responsibility and strengthen leadership over Party and force building work. He said, they should consider it a top priority in building a strong and transparent Party organization and competent Public Security Forces.

Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Thanh also requested all Party committees to continuously renovate contents, forms and methods of political and ideological education. Political education should be in line with the assessment, training and posting of officers, especially in  rank and post promotion.

The deputy minister underscored the importance of appointing officers in charge of Party and political work, saying that these cadres should have a firm political viewpoint, good moral virtues, good political knowledge and professional competence.
