Meanwhile, following the instructions of the Minister of Public Security, all police agencies and units have developed and implemented plans to suppress criminal activities across the country. As a result, the rate of criminal cases has dropped while the rate of successfully investigated and solved cases related to economic, environment and drug-related crimes was high, and  more wanted criminals were arrested, compared to the same period of the previous year. This contributed to positive changes in social order.

Minister Lam urged the whole police force to promote the gained achievements, proactively brace the situation and effectively deploy plans to ensure security and order in every locality, while promptly solving arising situational developments to avoid being driven into a surprise and passive position.

The Minister also asked all agencies and units to organize conferences to review their performances of the key tasks set for Q1, and effectively implement the action plans set for April and Q2.

The police force was requested to take drastic measures to control crimes, particularly robbery, theft, economic fraud via multi-level marketing, criminal gangs, illegal debt collection, gang fights and acts against on-duty officials, as well as settle all complicated issues from the grassroots level.

The police force should promote the fight against economic and environmental crimes, corruption, drug-related crimes, hi-tech crime, as well as the efficiency of criminal pursuit.

Minister Lam finally instructed that the police force should ensure traffic order and safety, public order, and deploy effective measures and solutions to prevent fire and explosion.
