MPS reviews work results in February

The Ministry of Public Security (MPS) held a meeting on March 6 to review the Public Security Forces’ task performance in February, review the crime suppression campaign during the 2025 Lunar New Year, and evaluate the restructuring and streamlining of the organizational system of the local-level police.

Member of the Politburo and Minister of Public Security Geenral Luong Tam Quang chaired the meeting.

Reports at the meeting highlighted that the Public Security Forces seriously followed the leadership and directives of the Party and the State and effectively performed their advisory function of protecting security and order last month, while taking synchronous measures to safeguard national security and ensure social order and safety.

Additionally, the forces actively restructured and streamlined their organizational systems and assumed new responsibilities, contributing to ensuring political stability and effectively supporting the country's socio-economic development and foreign affairs.

Thanks to these efforts, the entire nation could enjoy a peaceful and joyful Lunar New Year.

Addressing the meeting, on behalf of the Public Security Central Party Committee and MPS leaders, Minister Luong Tam Quang commended the Public Security Forces for their outstanding achievements last month.

Regarding key tasks of the entire Public Security Forces in March, Minister Luong Tam Quang emphasized that ensuring the effective and efficient operation of the new organizational apparatus is a top priority for the Public Security Forces.

Accordingly, the Minister requested that public security units and agencies nationwide promptly finalize staffing plans and personnel assignment at both provincial and communal-level police units.

He also stressed the need to strengthen coordination between under-ministerial public security departments and provincial-level police departments, as well as between provincial-level police departments and communal-level police units, to ensure the smooth operation of the new organizational system.

Additionally, the Minister urged the police forces to intensify the combat of wastefulness and corruption, while strongly attacking all types of crime, particularly cyber fraud and financial crime.

Furthermore, Minister Luong Tam Quang directed relevant advisory units to ensure high quality of all draft documents for the 8th Public Security Party Congress, which will be discussed at Party congresses at all levels within the Public Security Forces.

Lastly, the Minister suggested making careful plans to celebrate the 80th founding anniversary of the Public Security Forces.
