Welcoming the Kaspersky Lab CEO and his delegation to the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam (MPS), Minister Luong Tam Quang emphasized that the meeting provided an opportunity for both sides to exchange views on issues of mutual concern and explore cooperation opportunities to strengthen cybersecurity capacity in the face of increasingly complex global cyber threats.
Minister Luong Tam Quang affirmed that, with its strategic vision toward building a safe, digital and sustainably developing Vietnam, Vietnam’s MPS attaches great importance to expanding and promoting cooperation with reputable international partners in the field of advanced technology.
He commended Kaspersky Lab as one of the world’s leading enterprises in cybersecurity and digital data protection, renowned for its achievements in applying modern technologies to address non-traditional security challenges such as cybercrime, high-tech terrorism and national data protection.
To foster cooperation in that promising area, the two sides agreed to strengthen collaboration in information security and cyber safety, as well as jointly research and develop security measures to counter cyber threats, high-tech crimes and cyberterrorism.
They also agreed to cooperate in researching and sharing information on emerging cyber threats, transnational attack patterns and advanced attack tools, as well as to build up technical infrastructure for cybersecurity, and cybersecurity monitoring, early warning and incident response capabilities.
In addition, the two sides agreed to organize joint conferences and cyber incident response exercises, while promoting the adoption of Kaspersky’s “Cyber Immunity” model — a secure-by-design concept aimed at enhancing system resilience.
The Minister expressed his hope that Kaspersky Lab would support the MPS to build capacity of specialized cybersecurity officers by sharing professional knowledge, experience and providing training programs on malware analysis, digital forensics and cyber incident response, thereby contributing to building a modern and resilient cybersecurity posture for Vietnam.
