MPS strengthens education and training cooperation with Cuban partner

The Department of Training and Education under the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam held a working session with representatives of the Ministry of the Interior in Vietnam to discuss approaches to education and training cooperation between the two ministries, on February 6 in Hanoi.

Overview of the meeting.

At the meeting, the two sides exchanged views and the performances of Cuban officers studying in Vietnam, as well as shared information on each side’s functions, tasks, organizational models and experience in training and capacity building, particularly the training of commanding officers and specialized experts in the context that both sides face increasingly demanding tasks and deeper international integration.

Speaking at the meeting, Lieutenant General Tran Minh Le affirmed that cooperation in training and capacity building is an important pillar in the cooperative relationship between the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam and the Ministry of the Interior of Cuba, contributing to improving the quality of human resources, enhancing mutual understanding and trust, effectively serving each country’s mission of ensuring security and order.

He emphasized that the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam consistently pays close attention to and always creates favorable conditions for Cuban trainees to study and live in Vietnam in accordance with the current regulations.

For his part, the representative of the Ministry of the Interior of Cuba in Vietnam expressed his delight and appreciation for the responsible support of the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam in training Cuban trainees, wishing that the two sides would further strengthen cooperation in training and capacity building, extend Vietnamese language courses, organize more short-term training programs and enhance exchanges of experience in training management and organization.

The two sides agreed to continue maintaining regular exchange and coordination mechanisms so as to promptly share information and jointly address emerging difficulties, thereby improving the quality and effectiveness of training cooperation.

Concluding the meeting, the two heads of delegation reaffirmed their commitment to further deepening cooperation in training and capacity building between the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam and the Ministry of the Interior of Cuba in a practical and effective manner, contributing to strengthening the traditional friendship and special solidarity between Vietnam and Cuba.
