MPS to provide 224 online public services at levels 3,4 in 2022

During the 77th National Public Security Conference, Lieutenant General Nguyen Duy Ngoc, Deputy Minister of Public Security, announced the list of online public services at level 3 and 4 on December 27, stressing that that the Public Security Forces will soon provide the online services.

After more than 1 year of implementing the project to build national population database and the project to issue chip-based ID cards, the MPS has officially put into operation the national population database and issued e-ID cards since July 1, 2021.

The completion of the two projects has been seen as a fundamental step towards administrative reforms and modern civil governance as well as a premise for the building of an e-government and digital government in the period 2021-25

Deputy Minister Nguyen Duy Ngoc affirmed that the Public Security Forces  will soon deploy level-3, level-4 online public services in couple with enhancing the application of population data, electronic identification and identity authentication so as to offer more convenience and transparency to people and businesses while doing essential administrative procedures.

The Public Security Forces are committed to meeting the needs of the people and creating the most favorable conditions for people, businesses, state agencies, and foreigners to access and perform public services provided by the public security sector online or at local levels.

In 2022, the MPS will launched 224 online public services at levels 3 and 4 which are essential to people and businesses. These services will be integrated and deployed on the MPS Public Service Portal. The 3-and-4-level online public services are organized into 4 groups as followings:

The administrative management of social order group has 113 services in the fields of residency registration, residence management and ID card issuance, conditional-business management, management of organizations and businesses’ seals, and management of weapons, explosives, combat gears.

The immigration and migration group has 35 services, such as to providing documents for foreigners entering the country, residence permits for foreigners in Vietnam, and procedures for entry and exit of Vietnamese citizens.

The fire prevention and fighting group has 46 services regarding the application and issuance of all kinds of qualified papers on fire prevention, fire safety, fighting plans and training, as well as certification and approval of fire prevention and fighting equipment.

The traffic and safety management group has 30 services related to registration  of road vehicles, license of the use of the vehicle's priority signal device, and fines for traffic offenses.
