MPS, Vietnam News Agency honor good examples

The Ministry of Public Security (MPS) and the Vietnam News Agency (VNA) on June 15 held a meeting in Hanoi to honor good examples of the People's Public Security Forces in various movements.

The Ministry of Public Security (MPS) and the Vietnam News Agency (VNA) on June 15 held a meeting in Hanoi to honor good examples of the People's Public Security Forces in the movement “Studying and following President Ho Chi Minh's thoughts, morals and lifestyle”, movement “Following Uncle Ho’s six teachings,” and the movement “Building public security officers’ manners of bravery, humanity and devotedness to people,” as well as typical journalists of the VNA who made excellent achievements in disseminating the Public Security Forces’ performance of the tasks of national security and social order protection of.

The meeting also aimed at celebrating the 75th National Independence Day (September 2), the 75th Traditional Day of the People's Public Security Forces (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2020), the 15th  Festive Day “All People Protecting National Security” (August 19, 2005 - August 19, 2020) and the 95th Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day (June 21, 1925 - June 21, 2020).

The meeting saw the presence of General To Lam, Member of Politburo and Minister of Public Security - and four Deputy Ministers of Public Security, namely Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Thanh, Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Son, Lieutenant General Luong Tam Quang, and Major General Tran Quoc To.

Mr. Nguyen Duc Loi, Member of the Central Party Committee and Director General of the VNA attended and delivered a speech at the meeting.

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Duc Loi affirmed that, over the past years, the Public Security Forces have well maintained information security and closely coordinated with the VNA in ensuring the flow of information while creating favorable conditions for its journalists to perform their tasks at localities across the country.

On behalf of the Public Security Central Party Committee and the MPS, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Thanh thanked the VNA for its effective cooperation and support for the Public Security Forces in protecting security and social order over the past time.

He also hoped that the VNA’s leadership will direct their journalists to make more press and media products reflecting the protection of national security and social order as well as popularize the achievements, good people and good deeds of the Public Security Forces, contributing to encouraging public security officers and soldiers to successfully fulfill their assigned tasks and building the beautiful image of the People’s Public Security Forces in the people’s hearts.

At the meeting, 72 good examples of Public Security Forces and typical journalists of the VNA were honored.
