MPS works with State Audit Office of Vietnam

PSNews - The Ministry of Public Security (MPS) on February 9 worked with the State Audit of Vietnam on the results of the recent audit report on the budget settlement of the MPS.

The working session was attended by Senior Lieutenant General To Lam, Member of the Politburo, Minister of Public Security and Mr. Ho Duc Phoc, Member of the Party Central Committee, Auditor General of Vietnam.

In the past years, although the State Budget has faced difficulties, the Public Security Forces have been provided by the Party, State with a sufficient amount of budget for the forces’ regular and unscheduled missions as well as for investment in their facilities and equipment, contributing to the success of maintaining national security and social order in the current situation.

The Central Party Committee of Public Security and the leaders of the MPS have issued many resolutions and directives on the management and allocation of the budget in the People's Police Forces as well as promote the effective management of the use of State Budget for the forces’ operations.

Over the time, the MPS has also promoted close cooperation with the State Audit in checking and managing the use of its budget and property.

Minister Lam also spoke highly of the results of the audit report as well as the quality and effectiveness of the audit working team.

Minister of Public Security To Lam recognized and praised the supports and contributions of the State Audit to the management of its finance and property in the Public Security Forces. He also emphasized that various suggestions from the State Audit Office have helped the MPS to fix all shortcomings in budget management.

Minister Lam also spoke highly of the results of the audit report as well as the quality and effectiveness of the audit working team. He stressed that the MPS would acknowledge and review the assessments and recommendations by the State Audit Office and expressed his hope that the two bodies would further coordinate in the future.

On this occasion, Minister Lam presented the Medal “Protection of National Security” to Mr. Ho Duc Phoc to acknowledge his contribution to ensuring national security, social order and safety, as well as the building of the People's Public Security Forces.
